Jajpur: A woman was stripped, photographed and paraded naked at Paikarapur village near Bairi in Jajpur district Tuesday, reports said.
Five youths have been detained by police following a complaint from the victim, who is a former panchayat samiti member.
Meanwhile, some women held a protest at Chhatia beat house.
According to reports, the woman used to frequently visit one of her relatives’ house in the village. The youths were opposing her visits to the house.
According to reports, five youths forced her to wear a garland of shoes Tuesday.
When she threw the garland off, the youths stripped her, thrashed her, clicked her nude photos and paraded her on the village road.
