Rourkela: In a shocking incident, a youth killed his 58-year-old father over a trivial issue at Dengula village under Koida police limits in Sundergarh district late Sunday night.
Police have detained the accused identified as Nandakishore Munda (28) alias Rajan. Sources said Nandakishore and his father Laxmiram had a heated argument over a family issue last night.
In a fit of rage, Rajan beat his father to death with a wooden stick. On receiving information, police reached the spot at 12 noon and detained Rajan for interrogation.
An investigation into the incident is on, police said.
