Baripada: An 18-year-old youth allegedly committed suicide by consuming poison at Madhupur village of Purnachandrapur panchayat near Badasahi in Mayurbhanj district, Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Laxman Singh.
Family members who spotted Laxman lying on the floor inside the house rushed him to Pandit Raghunath Murmu Medical College and Hospital in Baripada, where doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
However, the reason behind the alleged suicide is not yet known.
