Bhadrak: A youth died and two others were critical after they were bitten by snakes in separate villages under Tihidi block in Bhadrak district.
Santosh Mallick (19), son of Pitambar Mallick of Dahapania village was bitten by a snake which had slithered into their house. He was admitted to Bhadrak district headquarters hospital in a critical condition Wednesday night. However, he succumbed Thursday morning while undergoing treatment.
Similarly, Kartik Sahoo and Sagar Nayak of Baro village were bitten by a snake when they were walking through knee-deep water that had entered their village due to flooding of river. Both of them were admitted to Bhadrak hospital and are undergoing treatment.
