Bhubaneswar, June 28: The Higher Education Department has rescheduled the dates for publication of cut-off mark list for Plus III admissions in the state owing to some ‘unavoidable reasons’. According to information received from the officials of the department, the first selection list that was scheduled to be announced Wednesday will now be published June 29.
Of the total 90,643 students who appeared the Plus Two examination in science stream, 73,523 passed this year. Similarly, 1, 74,237 students had passed the Plus-II examination in arts stream, while 20,044 commerce stream examinees were successful this year.
The student academic management system (SAMS) is conducting the admission process for more than 700 degree colleges across the state.
Earlier, the higher education department had announced that it would publish the first selection list on June 28, while the second and third merit lists would be out on July 7 and 16 respectively.
The entire admission process will be completed by July 18 and classes are scheduled to commence from July 19.
The last date for submitting copy of online and offline application forms along with supporting documents and fees at SAMS resource centres was June 21. The admission process will start from July 1.
The admission process for the Plus II courses started from Wednesday. The selected students in the first cutoff list have to join, failing which they will not be allowed to take admission further. To get more information regarding admission, the students can visit nearby SAMS resources centres. PNN
