Cuttack: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) which conducts the high school certificate (HSC) examination in the state Wednesday uploaded the information related to this year’s examination on its website.
The BSE authorities have arranged 2,938 exam centres, 295 nodal centres and 62 evaluation centres across the state.
Students can visit the Board’s official website www.bseodisha.ac.in to access the details of the exam centres and examinees. Parents can get the details of the examination centres by providing the school code on the website. Besides, other details including the number of examinees, location of exam centres, exam schedule and total number of candidates at a centre can also be ascertained from the website.
The board has reduced the number of evaluation centres from 69 in 2016 to 62 this year. However, adequate number of evaluators has been appointed this year for smooth and hassle-free evaluation of answer-sheets.
At least 5,274 candidates, who are taking up the exam in correspondence mode, need a unique identification number (UIN) which will be available on the Board’s website by putting the candidate’s name and father’s name. Using the UIN, candidates can get the details of their exam centre and other relevant data.
“We have taken the initiative in an attempt to go paperless. All the exam related details will be a few clicks away. Besides, exam fees can also be paid online,” said BSE exam controller Nihar Ranjan Mohanty. PNN
