Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will be conferred the ‘Ideal Chief Minister’ award at the Eighth Bharatiya Chhatra Sansad (BCS), also known as Indian Student Parliament, at Pune January 21.
In a tweet, the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO) said that Patnaik would be conferred this award by former President of India Pratibha Devisingh Patil.
The award will be presented to the CM in presence of 10,000 students and youths from across the country.
“The BCS Governing Council hails CM for his commitment and conviction to provide clean governance & delivering on his promises,” the CMO said in its tweet Friday.
The conclave is being organised by MIT World Peace University on its campus at Kothrud in Pune.
The council has also said that Patnaik is respected as an honest, clean and credible chief minister even by many of his opponents.
However, this is not the first such award Patnaik is receiving. Previously, Patnaik had been bestowed with the ‘Best Administrator’ award in the country by the Outlook group last year.
Patnaik had grabbed the top spot putting behind Bihar CM Nitish Kumar, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis and Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah.
