Bishnu Mohan Kabi who is the first Oriya singer to have rendered voice for a Marathi movie, loves to spend time with his three-month old baby boy Sunday. “As I hove to visit places as part of my concerts, I hardly get time to play with my baby Rehansh. Thus, whenever I get off on a Sunday, I spend quality time with my son, reveals the singer.
Donning chef’s role
The singer loves cooking and tries his hand at making tasty non-veg food for his family, Sundays. “I am a good chef. So I love to rustle up non-veg dishes, traditional mutton curry in particular, on holidays and serve to others with love”, he claims.
Kabi runs a music institute and spends time with his students Sundays. “I ensure that I pay a visit to Rehansh Music Institute and teach my students. I also get to learn several things from my pupils”, he says.
Kabi is an ardent devotee of Lord Jagannath. Thus, he makes it a point to visit Jagannath temple at Puri once a week.“Whatever I am today, it is because of the Lord’s grace. When I don’t have any major assignment on Sundays, I visit the Holy City with my family. This makes my Sunday, undoubtedly, special”, he maintains.
