Cuttack: The Orissa Human Rights Commission (OHRC) Friday closed the hearing on alleged gangrape of a minor girl in Kunduli of Koraput district. “As the case is now sub judice in the Orissa High Court and the state government has already ordered a judicial probe, there is no need to continue with the case,” the rights body observed. On the other hand, the survivor has been enrolled in an Oriya medium school in the locality and her study has already begun, Koraput collector informed the commission in a report. Besides, the SC/ST department secretary has submitted a report to the commission stating that an interim relief of `50,000 has been given to the survivor’s mother. The sum was kept as a fixed deposit in a nationalised bank, the SC/ST secretary said in the report.
