Cuttack: Panic gripped locals of Naraj area in Cuttack district after they found about 15 sheep killed by an ‘unknown predator’ Saturday night.
According to reports, Bairagi Das of Gopala Sahi village near Naraj had kept 17 sheep inside a shed. When he had gone to feed the animals, he found 15 of them dead and two missing.
A veterinary team from Cuttack reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
The villagers suspect that the sheep were killed by an unknown predator.
However, the exact reason for the death is not yet known.
The post-mortem will be conducted later in the day, reports added.
