Cuttack: In view of the fresh COVID-19 rapid increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in Odisha, the State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training has postponed the first semester examinations for Diploma and Post Diploma in Industrial Safety (PDIS) courses. The examinations were scheduled to be conducted today (Friday)
Informing the decision, the State Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training issued a notice which said, “In view of rising Covid-19 situation, and considering the safely of students and also their of students due to restrictions, the exams of 1st semester Winter 2020 Exams of Diploma and PDIS courses scheduled from 16.4.2021 is hereby postponed . The revised date of exams will be informed in due course of time.
Notably, Odisha breached the 3, 000-mark for the first time this year in new cases registered Friday. The state reported 3,108 new cases, and with this the caseload has gone up to 3,61,450.
