Talcher: Two labourers died of suspected asphyxiation at an under-construction house in Gadashila village under Kaniha block of Angul district late Monday night.
The identities of the deceased who were conversing in Bengali are yet to be established. Sources said the labourers had come to the house of Hemant Pradhan for laying floor tiles in his under construction house. They were found lying dead Tuesday morning.
On being informed, NTPC police IIC Sobha Patnaik with a police team reached the spot and seized the bodies.
A preliminary probe suggested that they might have died after inhaling carbon monoxide generated from coal that they had burnt in the night to keep themselves warm.
