Angul: In a shocking incident, two youths were thrashed and forced to kneel down on National Highway in full public view for overtaking the vehicle of a MP nominee here in this district.
Though the incident occurred Monday, the incident came to the fore Tuesday after the video of the incident went viral.
In the video, the youths can be seen made to kneel down by the nominee and thrashed with stick. Their only mistake was that they overtook the vehicle of the influential person.
The politician allegedly took away the youth’s bike. Hundreds of passers-by witnessed the incident as mute spectators as no one dared to speak against the MP Representative.
However, a vigilant onlooker video graphed the whole incident and uploaded on social media platforms that went viral. However no complaint has been filed in this connection yet. The locals demanded stringent action against the accused.
