Kendrapara: Twenty-eight cattle were charred to death and four houses reduced to ashes following a massive fire at Narendrapur village under Marshaghai block in this district Saturday night.
According to reports, the fire broke out from one Babaji Behera’s house and soon it engulfed nearby houses.
At least four houses and a cattle shed were completely gutted.
The fire personnel reached the spot and put off the blaze.
Around 23 sheep and five cows were killed in the fire. Properties including furniture, valuable documents, and goods worth of lakhs of rupees were reduced to ashes, sources said.
