2ND LIST: CITY COLLEGES STILL WANT ABOVE 80%

Bhubaneswar, July 12: The Department of Higher Education published the second cut-off marks list for admissions into Plus III degree colleges in the state, Wednesday . The list was earlier scheduled to be released, July 7. The admission process will begin from July 13 and continue till July 14. In most of the key city colleges, the cut-offs for major subjects either touched or crossed the 80 percent bar. Thereafter, the third list will be declared, July 18. According to reports, over 1.57 lakh candidates got seats in the first selection list. Around 2,34,893 students had ap
plied for admissions in different streams. The first cut off list was declared, June 29. For the first time, the selection has been made according to the opted honours subjects. The 3rd merit list will be published, 16th July and admissions for the same will be conducted from 17th to 18th July. Classes for 1st year students will start, 19th July. Meanwhile, Orissa POST has tabulated the cut-off marks of top ten colleges in Physical and Biological Science, Arts and Commerce streams. BJB College has the highest cut-off marks for honours subjects even in the second list.
