Bhubaneswar: A meeting of State-Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) held under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi Tuesday accorded in-principle approval to three investment proposals worth Rs 420.35 crore.
IPICOL general manager Kalyan Mohanty said the approved projects pertain to manufacturing of aluminium and aluminium conductors and setting up of a brewery and bottling plants of liquor and LPG at Angul, Khurda and Bolangir.
As per the approvals, Grid Construction Ltd will set up 60,000 IPA aluminium and aluminium conductors manufacturing unit with an investment of `127.35 crore at Angul Alumunium Park at Angul.
SOM Distilleries and Breweries Orissa Pvt Ltd will set up a brewing unit with 10 lakh hectoliters capacity and a bottling plant with 10.8 lakh hectoliters per annum capacity near Khurda with a total investment of Rs 193 crore. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd will set up an LPG bottling plant at Bolangir with a total investment of Rs 100 crore.
The projects are expected to create around 550 direct and indirect employment opportunities.
At the meeting, the chief secretary advised IPICOL and State-Level Technical Committee to promote more employment-intensive and downstream industries in the state. Industry department principal secretary Sanjeeb Chopra presented the proposed projects and outlined the issues for discussion at the meeting.
The members of SLSWCA and State Project Monitoring Group (SPMG) also reviewed the progress of several investment proposals approved earlier.
