Use short sentences:
The best way to cut short an argument is by staying calm and using shorter sentences. Because the more we talk, the more we encourage the other person to engage. The best option is to use facts to put forward your points and avoid unnecessary accusations and elaborations.
Stay calm:
Losing your temper will only make matters worse. It’s very important to stay calm and composed. An irate mind would never allow a person to express better. Expressing views without getting emotional will convey the message better.
Avoid egotism:
Having an ‘I am always right’ or ‘I am better than you’ attitude can quickly rise the matter and turn the situation even worse than ever. Listen to the colleague. Hear them out. Let them go until they have run out of chat. Let them vent as long as they can until they begin to calm down.
Look for a resolution:
Only a viable resolution, which works for both the parties, can put an end to any arguments or conflict. So, look for that solution and not some short-term solution to eradicate the problems.
Never get a third person:
