Malkangiri: Four persons were critically injured while 40 others had a narrow escape as the bus they were travelling in hit a roadside tree near Pangama on the Malkangiri-Jeypore road Friday.
The accident took place when the government-run bus carrying 44 passengers was en route to Bhawanipatna from Malkangiri. Sources said the driver lost control over the vehicle following which it hit the tree.
The four critically-injured were rushed to a hospital while the others boarded another bus to reach their destinations.
