Polasara: As many as four persons including a seven-year-old boy sustained critical injuries in boar attack at Badapankalbadi village under Polasara block in Ganjam district, Friday. The injured were rescued and admitted to the local community health centre (CHC).
The injured were identified as Rahul Chanda (7), Krushnachandra Behera (31), Krushna Sethy (40) and Dal Sethy (50). According to sources, the boar had strayed into the village. Seeing the animal roaming in the village, people panicked and ran helter and skelter.
However, the boar chased and attacked them all. On receipt of information, Polasara forester Hara Prasad Sahu along with a team reached the village and drove away the animal into the forest.
