Odagaon: Acting on a tip-off, forest department officials arrested four poachers and seized 10 kg of boar meat from their possession following a raid at Banthapur village under this forest range in Nayagarh district, Friday evening.
The arrested poachers have been identified as Govind Nayak, Trinath Nayak, Yugal Kishore Nayak and Basant Jani.
Acting on reliable inputs, the forest department officials including forest officer Rabindranath Panda, forester Jyoti Ranjan Mansingh along with some forest guards conducted a raid at Banthapur village and arrested the poachers.
A case has been registered against the accused persons under relevant Sections of the IPC.
