Cuttack: A five-year-old boy died while his parents suffered grievous injuries as a portion of their house collapsed on them while they were asleep Saturday night.
The incident was reported from Bharandi village in Agrahat panchayat of this district. The boy was sleeping with his father and mother. Suddenly, a wall of the house caved in on the three. The boy died on the spot while his father and mother received critical injuries.
Hearing the noise, neighbours rushed to the spot and rescued the couple in a critical condition. They were rushed to the SCB Medical College and their condition was stable, doctors said.
The house walls were made of mud and bricks. The rain in recent days led to its partial collapse.
