Bhubaneswar: In a giant leap towards promoting investments, the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) headed by Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi has cleared 55 investment proposals in 2017 calendar year.
While only eight investment proposals were approved by the panel in 2013, the number rose to 27 in 2015, which further increased to 29 in 2016 and finally to 55 in 2017, official sources said Friday.
Apart from the state-level panel, a number of small and medium investment projects have also been cleared in district level single window panels, the source said. The total investment projected in implementation of these projects is around`1.78 lakh crore. Employment opportunity for about 1.3 lakh persons will be created once all the projects are grounded, they said.
Besides, 41 new investment intents are under active consideration of the state government.
Reviewing, the investment promotion activities recently, Padhi directed the Industrial Promotion and Investment Corporation Limited (IPICOL) to make all the investment meets more outcome oriented in terms of brining in employment intensive investments.
The departments concerned with actual delivery of investment related services were asked to ensure field level implementation of the reforms enacted under ‘Ease of doing Business’.
The state government was
able to attract these investors
after holding a series of promotional events at various places in the country.
