Jeypore: At a time when the ‘Pari’ murder case is creating a huge ruckus in Odisha, another incident of a six-year-old girl who has gone missing from Taupadar village under Pottangi block in Koraput district has come to the fore. The girl has been missing for the last six days. Family members of the girl lodged a complaint with the police November 22. However, till date the police have not been able to come up with any concrete news.
According to a source, the girl identified as Banguru Pangi’s daughter was playing on the balcony of her house November 21 evening. However, then she disappeared suddenly. Family members launched a frantic search but failed to locate her. The next day, they lodged a missing complaint at the Pottangi police station. On the basis of the complaint, the police registered a case and launched a probe.
Police have detained Banguru for questioning. They feel that he has a role in his daughter’s disappearance. Sources said police are suspecting that Banguru may have killed his daughter.
