Koraput: As many as 7,281 candidates, including some very highly qualified, have applied for 125 home guard jobs in Odisha’s Koraput district, a top police official said Sunday.
According to the official, the written test was conducted at DAV Govt College in Landiguda, Koraput.
Out of the 7,281 candidates who had applied, 5,690 candidates appeared in the written test conducted today.
While the educational qualification needed for this job was standard five, even graduates and postgraduates had applied for this job, Koraput police superintendent Rohit Verma said.
Verma added that, given the tough competition and high educational standards of the candidates, he is hopeful of good candidates getting selected.
