Bhubaneswar: Hockey Odisha registered a convincing 3-1 victory over Hockey Chandigarh in a match of the VIIIth Hockey India Junior Men’s & Women’s National Championships 2018 (Division-A) at Bhopal, Friday. The state colts will next play Hockey Maharashtra, April 29.
Captain Suman Beck (51st minute), Pradeep Lakra (52nd) and Dibesh Jojo (67th) were on target for the Hockey Odisha side.
Semifinalists spotted
Burla, Balasore, Odisha Fire Service (OFS) and Commissionerate Police (B) advanced into the semifinals of the ongoing 75th State Police Volleyball Championships at the Reserve Police Ground in Burla, Friday.
Burla outplayed Puri 3-0, Balasore beat Mayurbhanj a 3-0, while OFS thrashed Koraput OSAP IIIrd Battalion by an identical margin. Commissionerate Police (B) grabbed the final last four spot scraping past Commissionerate Police (A) 3-2 in a keenly-contested match.
