Chandbali: Mystery shrouded the death of a driver here. The body was found in a truck near Gabhei Pokhari square here in Bhadrak district Monday. The deceased hailed from Chrambha area in Bhadrak.
Police said he was engaged in the transporting of cement at a factory Sunday. After the work, the driver went to sleep in the vehicle while other workers were busy completing the last minute works.
The cement factory owner called the driver over phone, but there was no response. The owner sent some workers to check where the driver was. They found him dead inside the vehicle.
Police launched a probe to ascertain the cause of the death. A case of unnatural death was registered and the body sent for post-mortem.
Locals suspect he committed suicide by consuming poison as froth was coming out of his mouth.
