Jajpur road: Seven pilgrims in a group were injured as they were returning from a pilgrimage Sunday. The Bolero they were travelling in and a bus collided on National Highway-20 near Kantajhari square here.
The injured were admitted to the Jajpur Road community health centre (CHC). Among the injured were Saroj Kumar Satapathy (55), Suria Behera (35), Barsharani Behera (17) and Runu Behera of Badapada village in Ganjam district.
According to police, the pilgrims from Dandamukundpur village under Bhajnagar police limits in Ganjam had been on a return journey from the Ghatagaon Tarini temple.
“Their vehicle was hit by the bus from the rear, critically injuring seven including the Bolero driver,” police said and seized both the vehicles.
