Kendrapara: A woman was left battling for life after she was set on fire by her brother-in-law and sister-in-law over a family feud at Balia Poilo village under Sadar police limits in this district Sunday.
Hearing the screams, her neighbours rushed to the spot and admitted her to the district headquarters hospital in Kendrapara.
The woman sustained 60 per cent burn injuries and was placed under intensive care.
According to reports, the victim broke out in an altercation with her brother-in-law and sister-in-law over some issue in the absence of her husband. The accused duo then overpowered the woman and doused kerosene on her before setting her on fire.
No police complaint has yet been lodged in this connection while filing this report.
