Kendrapada: Dreaded criminal and Tito’s associate Babu Sahoo was injured in an encounter on Icchapur-Chhagaria road here Sunday night.
Babu, who received a bullet injury on his right leg, has been admitted first to Kendrapara district hospital first was later shifted to SCB Medical College and Hospital situated in Cuttack.
On being tipped off about the presence of Babu at Icchapur, a team of Kendrapara town police and a special squad conducted raids there.
On seeing the police team, Babu opened fire at them but got injured when the cops fired back.
Babu has more than 50 cases pending against him at several police stations.
