Bhubaneswar: Tamanna Vyas, an Odia actress, is all set to fight for the Miss Diva-2018 title slated to be held at Mumbai. Tamanna who made her debut in the Odia film industry with ‘Joker’ opposite Papu Pom Pom, is in Mumbai and being groomed for the final contest.
It may be worth mentioning here that out of a pool of 147 contestants from across the country, Tamanna made the cut for the Top-100, later for the Top-50 before breaking into the last 10.
In a video message, Tamanna has appealed to all her fans and followers to vote her in the maximum numbers so that she wins the coveted title.
She wrote, “Shower me with your love and blessings and help me to win this grand competition for my Motherland Odisha”.
The 22-year-old protégé has acted in movies like Bhaina Kana Kala Se, Nijhum Raatira Saathi and Prem Kumar with Anubhav Mohanty.
Orissa POST interacted with a few Odia movie actors who have extended their support to Tamanna through messages and voting.
Archita Sahu: I wish all the best for her. Tamanna is a great actress and a lovely human being. I have been there representing Odisha in Femina Miss India, so I know the kind of pressure she faces. I wish her all the luck and pray that she returns with the coveted title.
Puspa Panda: Slowly but gradually Odia girls are showcasing their talents in various beauty pageants which is a matter of pride for us. We all wish her to return with the crowning tiara. Good luck Tamanna, you always rock.
Anubhav Mohanty: She is a fantastic actress and an awesome co-star. I am thrilled to know that she has reached the top ten of Miss Diva 2018. She is a very determined girl and I wish her all the luck to win the crown for Odisha. I am very proud of her and so is the whole state.
The 6th edition of Miss Diva is scheduled to be held August 31 this year. The 10 contestants have been selected from all over the country through city based auditions culminating in the final round of audition in Mumbai. All contestants are being mentored by Miss Universe 2000 Lara Dutta. At the finals, Shraddha Shashidhar will crown her successor, while Peden Ongmu Namgyal will crown Miss Supranational India 2018 and Apeksha Porwal will crown Miss Diva 2018 2nd runner up. The winners will represent India at Miss Universe 2018 and Miss Supranational 2018.
