Telkoi: Crores of rupees are spent for ensuring safe drinking water under the Swjaladhara Yojana in rural areas. However, the scheme has been a dream for Danduamunda Patrasahi under Telkoi block in Keonjhar.
Shockingly, villagers these days have no way but to drink water from their farmland since the only tube well in the village has gone out of order.
The villagers had reminded the RWSS about the problem, but the authorities have paid no heed to the problem, alleged Kedar Patra, a villager.
They also made it clear that as they belong to SC community, they feel awkward to go to the nearby village to get water.
“In such a situation, we are bound to drink water from the farmland,” they rued.
