Bhubaneswar: Odia film actor and comedy king Papu Pom Pom, who had returned to the state last month after undergoing treatment at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi for nearly two months, has been readmitted to the premiere hospital.
The actor was admitted to AIIMS last week following infection in the pancreas, sources said.
However, there has been no information from family members about his health.
Papu was earlier admitted to SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar May 5 after he complained of acute pain in the lower abdomen. He was later diagnosed with acute pancreatitis.
Though his condition was stable for two days, he was shifted to the ICU May 7 following acute chest pain.
Doctors later advised his family to shift him to AIIMS in New Delhi for better treatment.
Papu was admitted to the ICU of the Gastroenterology department of AIIMS May 15.
The actor returned to Bhubaneswar July 10 after his health improved.
