Koraput: Police Tuesday arrested a married on charges of circulating private intimate videos of a girl on social media platforms.
He has been identified as Gupta Jani of Purunapuki village under Sadar block.
According to sources, Jani was having an one-sided love affair with a girl of Kolab area here. However, the girl spurned his advances and recently got married to another youth of the locality.
This did not go well with Jani who composed a lewd song over the girl’s name and made a video featuring her and uploaded it on social media that went viral.
As the girl came to know about the incident, she lodged a written complaint with Koraput Sadar police, on the basis of which Jani and the concerned singer were arrested.
A further probe is on, police said adding that steps were being taken to delete the video from social media accounts.
