Bhadrak: Two decomposed bodies were fished out from two separate rivers under Dhamnagar block in Bhadrak district Thursday.
While a girl’s body was retrieved from Baitarani river, the body of a youth was found floating in Kochila river.
According to sources, the deceased girl identified as Sasmita Sahu went missing after she was swept away in the river when she had gone to attend nature’s call September 25. Her brother Thursday spotted the body floating near the river bank.
On being informed, ODRAF team reached the spot and retrieved the body from the river.
On the other hand, the deceased youth identified as Santosh Rout (27) had gone missing since Tuesday night.
His body in the river was first spotted by some passersby who immediately informed the police. Police reached the spot and started investigation into the incident.
The bodies were sent for post-mortem.
