Jajpur: Large numbers of devotees gathered at Maa Biraja Temple in Jajpur Sunday to offer prayers on ‘Maha Ashtami ‘, with long queues forming for the special darshan of the deity.
The concluding rituals of the ‘Shodasha Upachara Puja’ were performed at the temple on the occasion.
Devotees from across Odisha waited for a chance to have darshan of Goddess Biraja, while several devotees observed fasts as part of their religious observance. “Despite the long wait, the opportunity to touch the Goddess’s feet and seek her blessings brings immense joy and spiritual satisfaction,” a devotee said.
