Badasahi: A newly married woman allegedly committed suicide by setting herself on fire at Haripur village near Badasahi in Mayurbhanj district Monday evening.
She was identified as Pari (18), wife of Dillip Nath. Pari got married April 7 this year and her parents are living in Gopiballavpur of West Bengal.
According to reports, she poured Kerosene oil on her body and then set herself on fire.
The family members first admitted her to PRM Medical College and Hospital in Baripada. She died while being shifted to a private hospital.
The reason behind the extreme step is yet to be ascertained. Police investigation is on.
