Mohana: A minor girl and her younger brother drowned in a river at Mohana in Gajapati district Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Soumya Sualsingh (6) and her brother Bishnu (3).
According to reports, the duo along with their mother had gone for a bath in the river. However, the siblings drowned after they slipped into the deep waters.
Though their mother rushed them to Mohana hospital, the doctors declared them ‘brought dead’.
The police have seized the bodies and started an investigation.
