Students from several schools in the city were seen coming in large numbers to the expo. Arihant Tripathy, a student from the city-based SAI International, said he was fond of drone and wants to make a career in it. There are many training institutes who provide training in aerospace technology and drones. The expo has given me a good platform to choose my career path, Tripathy said.

Ankita Sahoo, another SAI student, said, “I am a big fan of Bibhu Mohapatra and fond of fashion designing. When I leant that he will present a fashion show here I was very excited to know about his journey from Rourkela to New York.

The students were also seen awestruck with the laser show at the Ampi theatre where the  rich history of Odisha was showcased.

Saraswati, one of the members of a group providing sericulture training, said, the team gives   information on the production of silk and the process involved. Many people are still unaware of how silk is made and the process behind it. This helps in making them understand the work behind making silk.

SakRobotix, an Indian robotics startup headquartered in Startup Centre, IIT-Kharagpur engaged in designing, development, research, sale of robots , robotics DIY KIT, robotics toys and offers online robotics education, also attracts a large number of students thanks to its Sakrobotics Hybrid Intelligent Robot (SHIR) model dressed in a Sambalpuri saree.

Pritish Priyadarshini, a company executive, said the robots can be used in office reception or as personal assistants. It can be used for answering questions like tell the room number. It is getting huge attraction at the expo. Out of the 12 robots at the conclave, seven are SHIR while five are dancing robots that perform Odissi on stage.

Skyrider training institute is engaged in providing training in making automobiles, drones, sun oven and creating apps and technologies such as using home equipment through mobiles. Such a platform is ideal for those who want to do their own things. This helps them in realising their talents, said Pritish.
