Balasore: An auto-rickshaw driver died after the vehicle overturned near Nalamganj in Balasore town Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Jayant Kumar Das (13) of Telenga Sahi in the district.
According to sources, the incident took place in the wee hours of Saturday while Jayant was on his way back after dropping a passenger at DRDO in Chandipur.
Jayant along with a passenger had gone to DRDO from Balasore Railway Station early this morning. While on his way back home, he lost control over the wheels following which the vehicle fell into a nullah and overturned.
Though locals rescued the auto driver in a critical condition and rushed to a nearby hospital, doctors declared him ‘brought dead’.
On receipt of information, police reached the spot and seized the body.
However, family members of the deceased person suspect foul play.
