Cuttack: A youth was shot dead by unidentified miscreants near to Godi Sahi under Barang police limits in this district Sunday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Sunil Ranjan Sahoo, an employee of Sri Sri University. To access the reason behind the firing, the police have launched an immediate investigation.
Sources said, the youth was going somewhere on his motorcycle. Near Godi Sahi, two bike-borne miscreants waylaid him and open fired.
Locals immediately rushed him in a profusely bleeding state to SCB Medical College and Hospital where the doctors declared him received dead.
