Keonjhar: A man was killed and seven others were injured after a rig vehicle used for drilling tube well overturned at Kanjipani ghat in Keonjhar district late Monday night.
The deceased was identified as Dharam Yadav, a resident of Chhatishgarh.
On being informed, fire department personnel and police reached the spot. The body got trapped under the vehicle and was extracted while the injured were rushed to the district headquarters hospital for immediate attention.
Sources said the vehicle was on its way to Telkoi from Keojhar town when the accident occurred. The man behind the wheel lost control and the vehicle went stroppy, leading to the death and injuries, they added.
