Puri: An engineering student went missing while taking bath in sea in Puri beach here early Tuesday morning. He was identified as Sai Krishna Kumar, a student of BIT at Ranchi in Jharkhand.
According to sources, Sai had come to Puri for a visit with his three friends and sister.
While they were bathing in sea this morning, a high tide swept away Kumar away. He went missing in the heavy tide.
Lifeguards present at the spot initiated rescue operation after noticing his friends shouting for help. On being informed, Marine police reached the beach and expedited the operation.
However, there was no trace of him till the last reports came in.
