Bhubaneswar: The Health and Family Welfare department Thursday signed an MoU with Novartis Healthcare Private Limited to get support in creating awareness on diabetes.
The agreement was signed between Health department special secretary BK Brahma and the healthcare firm’s RK Sagar in presence of Health department secretary PK Meherda.
The primary objective of this partnership is to collaborate towards countering the increasing burden of diabetes and its related conditions related to retina and kidney in the state under NCD programme, said an official.
The Health department is expecting that the collaboration will lead to better prevention and early diagnostic services through improved healthcare and diagnostic facilities, added the official.
