Bantala: A girl committed suicide after her boy friend made her obscene video public in social media. The incident is reported from a village under Bantala police limits in Angul district Thursday night.
Police said the deceased was in love with a youth from Talcher area. However, due to some reason the youth uploaded a clip which he extracted from their video calling on social media platform. As the video got spread from phone to phone, it reached her family members. Thursday she was confirmed that her family members had watched the clip and at about 9 pm she consumed poison.
Family members rushed her to the Angul district headquarters hospital (DHH) where the doctors declared her brought dead.
The deceased’s father lodged a complaint late Thursday night. Police seized the body for postmortem and launched an investigation,” informed IIC Sabyasachi Rout.
