Cuttack, April 19: Roshan Patra’s (17runs, two wickets) useful all-round show helped New Stewart School (NSS) secure a narrow two wickets victory over DPS Kalinga, Ful Nakhara and enter the semifinals of the PV Murthy Inter-School cricket tournament at the Bhuvanananda Engineering Ground here Sunday.
After electing to bat first, DPS were bundled out for 103 as Sreeman Singh (4/15) and Yash Vardhan Tiwari (0/3) bowled with precision. Raghuveer Patnaik (34, 31b, 4×5) was the only batsman to impress with the bat.
In reply, NSS didn’t fare much better and were stretched to the wire. They finally reached the target in 21.3 overs for the loss of eight wickets with Sidharth Jain (38, 59b, 5×4) helping them over the line.
