Puri: Some students of Samanta Chandra Sekhar (SCS) Autonomous College had allegedly consumed liquor during the Saraswati Puja celebrations on the campus February 10.
A video of some girls and boys dancing with liquor bottles in their hands during the puja celebrations went viral on social media.
The incident has drawn sharp reactions from parents and social activists. “A video showing hundreds of girls and boys dancing with liquor bottles went viral on social media. The college authorities should probe the incident and act accordingly,” said a social activist.
When contacted, college principal Prafulla Kumar Mohanty said they would launch a probe into the issue. “We would summon guardians of the students if the allegation is found to be true. We would take stern action against the students,” he added.
