Rayagada: In an unfortunate incident, two children, aged between seven to eight years, met watery grave while taking a bath in village pond, Tuesday.
The deceased kids have been identified as Sunil Himirka and Haresh Himirka of Matikana village here in this district.
The incident occurred in a pond one kilometer away from their village when the two kids had gone to take bath in a pond. After the kids went missing for long time, family members panicked and searched for them.
Later, they intimated fire services personnel. After a long day of search operation, the bodies of the two kids were fished out today following which a pall of gloom descended in the village.
