BHUBANESWAR: Well-known litterateur and short stories writer Susmita Bagchi will receive Teera Taranga Puraskar for 2019, according to Tera Taranga literary group as part of its 22nd anniversary to be celebrated at Soochana Bhawan here, March 8.
The literary institution has also decided to confer Veda Vidwan Samman on the occasion to be attended by State Culture Secretary Manoranjan Panigrahi, Puri Sanskrit University Vice-Chancellor Radha Madhab Das and author Gaurahari Das. The award will be conferred on Vedic scholars Priyanbrata Das, Brajabandhu Panda and Prof Bikash Panda.
Dr Bijayananda Singh has consented to preside over the literary proceedings on the occasion, according to Teera Taranga editor Bandana Mishra.
Apart from this, the Tirataranga Samman 2019 will also be conferred on Rabi Panda (novel), Dhananjay Swain (lyrics), Bighneswar Sahu (features), Amiya Pandab (editing), Susant Kumar Nayak (poetry), Chittaranjan Chiranjit (novelist) and Sanjay Mishra (literature).
Besides, two books authored by Brajabandhu Panda and Bandana Mishra – Vaidika Bandana and Eka Eka Jibana – will be unveiled on the occasion.
