Srinagar: A gunfight took place Tuesday between security forces and militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Tral town, police said.
Upon receiving information about the militants, the security forces started a search operation in Mir Mohalla Monday evening.
“As the operation continued Tuesday morning, the militants fired at the security forces triggering the gunfight,” the police added
Authorities have suspended mobile Internet services in the town.
