Cuttack, May 3:BB Das and Om Mishra emerged champions in the senior and the junior categories of the Cuttack District Chess Championship, which concluded at the OCA Campus here Sunday.
In the senior category, Das took the top honour with a total of 6.5 points. FM Rakesh Kumar Jena also got the same point, but had to be satisfied with the second position on the basis of the better tie-breaker points. Ansuman Samal finished third with six points
In the junior category, OM Mishra clinched the title with 7.5 points. Arnav Aryan Samantaray secured the second position with seven points, while Aditya Anurakta Mohanty bagged the third position with the same number of points.
